To carry out experiments to try out 3 methods of cellular staining while understanding how the different staining methods methods work - hematoxylin & eosin (H&E), Immunohistochemistry targeting Vimentin, and fluorescent dye staining using Hoescht fluorescent work on the organelles in the Liver cells.

(I) Overview
This project primarily concentrates on the histology and morphology of cells and for us to learn and appreciate the usefulness of the light and fluorescence microscope. The histology and morphology of the cells is simply the visual description of how the cells look using the light microscope. We will be introduced to the optical set-up of the instrument and how it works.
The project is focused on the histological preparation of tissues on glass slides which is the first step to view the cells in the tissue using the light microscope. We will be introduced to 3 types of histological preparation:
A) Histochemical staining
B) Immunohistochemical staining
C) Fluorescence dye staining
